Commodus

Introduction

    Hello reader of this biography,

Today, I, Lucius Baumanius, am going to     tell the story of the downfall of both             Lucius Aurelius Commodus and the            Roman Empire. Through the next page        you shall learn why Commodus remains one of Rome's most infamous rulers, remembered for his insanity, cruelty, and delusions, which ultimately contributed to the empire's decline. His portrayal in history often emphasizes his deranged and erratic behavior, showcasing how absolute power and his love of himself led to his failure as a leader, and how he caused Rome to collapse from greatness.
